Condition: Some of the shell is broken on the bottom carving where the stand is placed.
Additional Information: A hand carved Barava semi fossilized giant clam shell plaque carved with shapes and symbols. The clam shells fossilization process shows of the natural coloring and lines in the shell. The piece is smooth in between the carvings. The piece is a symbol of wealth depicting zoomorphic figure over a openwork circle. The piece were worn, used to decorated structures, or placed on ancestor shrines. The piece has a custom made metal stand.
